Interactive live Earth view. When idle, Earth rotates at its real sidereal rate while the camera remains inertial; interaction pauses that live rotation briefly, then it resumes from the viewpoint you chose. On touch devices, globe interaction is locked by default so the page remains easy to scroll; use the Interact button to enable drag and pinch gestures, then use Done to return gestures to page scrolling. On desktop, drag the Earth to rotate the viewpoint and use the mouse wheel to zoom. Keyboard users can use the arrow keys to rotate, plus and minus to zoom, and Home to reset the view. The Earth speed control reports 1× real-time rotation and can switch to a clearly labelled 60× preview for visual verification. Day and night follow the current UTC solar position. The Sun direction is current, while its displayed distance is compressed and not to scale. The International Space Station position is propagated from current public orbital data.

A small collection of systems, utilities, photos, movies and notes I use or maintain. This page is the map; the useful details live one layer deeper.
